Marbling inks

Abstract Painting , Mixed Media with Inks, Marbling inks, watercolour on board

The word fracture is to crystals and gemstones which this painting illustrates

I enjoyed working on this medium inks and acrylic. To me, marbling ink feels almost magical. The way the colors float and swirl on the surface of water is unpredictable—you can guide them, but you can never fully control them. That’s what makes each pattern unique, like a moment in time that can’t be repeated.

I love how the ink seems alive, drifting and expanding, forming delicate veins or bold waves. It reminds me that beauty often comes from letting go and allowing chance to play its part. There’s also something calming about it—watching the movement of color feels like watching clouds shift or ripples spread across a pond.

When the design is finally transferred onto paper, it feels like capturing a fleeting piece of movement, almost like freezing music into an image. For me, marbling ink is special because it combines spontaneity with artistry, and it always surprises me with what it creates.
